Anaesthesia
Local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia.
The procedure (30–90 min)
- incision in the eyelid crease or from the inner (mucosal) side
- removal or redistribution of skin and fat
- suturing and application of strips
Recovery
- sutures removed on day 3–5
- swelling subsides by day 10
- final result after 3 months
Preparation
- stop injections and device procedures around the eyes 3–6 months before
- consultation with an ophthalmologist and (for women) a gynaecologist
- complete blood tests
- remove eyelash extensions
- purchase compression stockings
